PROFESSIONAL COACHING

We take coaching very seriously at TCoB. We believe that a strong structure and knowledgeable coaching is critical to making our workouts top class.

All of our coaches are either certified coaches or on the path to certification.

Head Coach

Greg (TCoB) colours supporting his athlete on course.

Greg Pace of Pace Performance is the head coach of TCoB.  He holds multiple certifications (BPE, PFLC, NCCP) and has been helping athletes finish strong for over 30 years.  He has completed in over 100 triathlons from sprint distance to Ironman.

Greg has a long history with triathlon – you might say he helped to birth it here in Ontario.  Greg is one of the co-founders of Triathlon Ontario and a past president.  He also co-founded Kids of Steel triathlons which is the program that helped find a young Simon Whitfield.  He is a past recipient of the Burlington Sports Person of the Year and Burlington Civic Recognition Awards.  The Moon in June Road Race here in Burlington is a shining example of a Pace Performance event.

And if that doesn’t impress you, Greg is still racing in his 60s… He can be found personally leading our Monday Swim and Tuesday Brick in addition to providing oversight to all our workouts and programs.

If you are interested in personal coaching, Greg and his team of coaches are excellent. Learn more about Pace Performance here

Volunteer Coaches

Alex does triathlon to challenge himself. He enjoys finding ways to be better and faster at the different sports and different distances. As a track leader he tries to make every workout different, with a set goal for each one while keeping them fun. Meet Alex on Thursdays at MM Robinson HS track, 6:30 pm.

Leah uses triathlon to tri to bring balance to her life. Training for triathlon provides Leah with (1) solitude to reflect or think about nothing after or before work, (2) a healthy lifestyle component to balance a busy life, and (3) the ability to challenge herself to reach new goals and set an example for her boys. She loves the inclusive spirit of triathlon and early morning intervals are built for everyone. Leah brings enthusiasm to the structured workout where you will use all of your gears, develop power, and gain speed on the bike.  Meet Leah on Friday mornings at 6:00 am.
